Why fleets still struggle

The cost of how it’s done today

Preparing for a PSC, flag, or class inspection means digging through modules to assemble evidence and hoping nothing is overdue.

The traditional approach

Audit prep done by exporting from each module into a folder by hand, with gaps only found once the inspector is aboard.

Inspection Readiness: fleet dashboard view

Monday with WaterTight

What changes when this is under control

An inspection readiness hub: open an inspection type to see live KPIs, evidence sections, and gaps; walk the vessel with Checklist runs that suggest readiness from live records; then generate a ZIP evidence pack. You confirm Pass — evidence never auto-passes a point.

Time back

Evidence sections and checklist runs pull live from certificates, drills, PMS, and statutory books, so prep stops being a manual export-and-collate exercise.

Less waste

Custom inspection types avoid one-size-fits-all prep and the wasted effort of gathering irrelevant evidence.

Lower risk

Live KPIs, suggested checklist status, and gaps let you fix problems at source before the inspection, not after a finding.

Capabilities

  1. You must confirm Pass — nothing auto-passes
  2. Evidence can include statutory record books (not UK/4.66 certified)
  3. Per-vessel KPI selection
  4. Fix-at-source workflow
  5. Company custom inspection types
  6. Requires inspection module enabled

Ship to shore

How the work moves

  1. Open the inspection type and select the vessel
  2. Review live KPIs and evidence sections
  3. Walk Checklist runs and confirm Pass where the SMS agrees
  4. Generate the evidence pack for the auditor

Questions before you commit

Where does the evidence come from?
Sections and checklist points reflect live data from source modules—certificates, drills, PMS, defects, and where configured statutory record books. Fix data at source and the hub updates.
Do checklist runs declare the vessel ready?
No. WaterTight collects matching records and suggests readiness. You must confirm Pass. Company SMS, flag, and class requirements decide whether the vessel is ready.
Can we create our own inspection types?
Yes. Alongside platform standards (PSC, MARPOL, ISM), companies can configure custom types such as a flag-state audit or class annual.
Is a generated pack a compliance declaration?
No. Packs organise existing records; they are not a declaration of compliance or survey readiness. Review every document and date before handing it over.

Bring this pain to a demo

We’ll walk inspection readiness for Superintendent and DPA on a sample vessel — so you can judge the fit, not sit through a feature tour.
