Questions before you commit
Are these books UK type-approved?
No. They use the same electronic record-book kernel as the deck logbook, but they are not type-approved by themselves and are not covered by deck-logbook Phase 1 scope (SOLAS V/28). WaterTight does not issue a flag Declaration; the Administration or recognised organisation does. You can store a copy of an issued Declaration for carriage.
Is the Cargo Record Book here the same as Cargo Operations?
No. Cargo Operations → Cargo Record Book is the operational NLS / cargo ledger (voyage, tanks, master confirm). Statutory record books → Cargo Record Book (Annex II) is the electronic MARPOL Annex II book in the ERB kernel. Keep using cargo for ops; use this page for the statutory book.
Can entries be deleted?
No. Corrections use Amend with a mandatory reason. Original values remain in version history.
What if the electronic book is unavailable?
Keep the approved paper book ready. Electronic entries take precedence while the system is working. Do not back-date electronic rows to replace paper originals — reconcile per your SMS.
