Why fleets still struggle

The cost of how it’s done today

Port agent details live in scattered address books, so crew reach the wrong or outdated contact when a call approaches.

The traditional approach

Contacts kept in personal phones and old emails, with no company-vetted list of who to call at each port.

Monday with WaterTight

What changes when this is under control

A company-approved directory of port agents, surveyors, class, and P&I contacts by port, searchable by name or UN/LOCODE, with preferred contacts surfaced to vessels on Ship Docs.

Time back

Crew search a vetted directory instead of hunting old emails for an agent's number.

Less waste

Maintaining approved contacts centrally avoids using unvetted agents and the disputes that follow.

Lower risk

Preferred contacts and archived-not-deleted history keep crew calling the right, current agent in an emergency.

Questions before you commit

How do crew see port contacts?
On My Vessel → Ship Docs → Port Contacts, crew search by port, UN/LOCODE, or country and see preferred contacts first (search only, no admin edit).
Can one agent cover several ports?
Yes. A contact can be linked to every port it covers, so multi-port providers are entered once.
What happens when an agent changes?
Mark the old contact inactive or archived rather than deleting, preserving history while removing it from preferred lists.
Is this a separate module?
Yes. Port contacts is enabled per company; the vessel lookup requires port contacts read alongside Ship Docs access.

Bring this pain to a demo

We’ll walk port contacts for Operations Team and Master on a sample vessel — so you can judge the fit, not sit through a feature tour.
