Questions before you commit
Can crew request PPE from the mobile app?
Yes. Crew requests appear in the PPE Locker approval queue so officers can approve, decline, or dispense.
Does PPE Locker create procurement orders?
Yes. “Create order from below minimum” builds a replenishment order from shortfall lines, typically into the Safety procurement category when configured.
What are PPE budgets?
Optional per-vessel settings: a monthly allowance per crew member (with optional rollover). When enabled, issues that would exceed remaining budget are blocked.
Is PPE Locker included for every company?
No. It is an optional My Vessel module enabled on the company profile (PPE Locker / ppe_locker_enabled), with rank permissions for view and issue.
